Summarize the advice Polonius gives to his son Laertes. Does he seem wise or a foolish? Does it remind you of any advice your parents or grandparents have ever given you?

I think Polonius gave very wise advice to his son, but the the one that catched my eye, was when Polonius tells his son to think before you talk..So true, especially for me when my parents tell me..I mean, sometimes I don't know when to stop talking. At the end it's a 50% chance that I didn't say something bad or that luck was with me..But thats the old me, now I think more than in the 'old' days. Sort of like Hamlet, but not to the extreme.

No... I dont really remember any advice from my parents that remind me of Polonius. Maybe because I just dont pay them attention or they dont give me useful advices.... The only advice I remember is..: Dont shake(?) your legs or you are gonna run out of luck.....

Polonius gave advice to Laertes about how to behave in France, so people around him dont talk bad things about him and say that he is a good man. I think all his advice was really wise, reasonable and helpful. The advice that Polonius tells to his son about thinking before acting and speaking reminds me of my dad. He always tells me to keep my thoughts in my mind, to just respond politely and never show my real emotions in my response, to keep them to myself or tell them to someone who can be really trusted.

I have sort of been in the same position as Ophilia when she is given a lot of difficult advice and strong opinions about the decisions that she has made. My father is the one in the family who always tries to spread his words of wisdom. And when he does, he makes sure you listen and understand. I think that advice can be helpful, but many times it can be difficult to follow

Polonius tells his son to be on his feet basically. To listen, to trust only his close friends, to not borrow or lend money, and to be himself. I think the advice he gives to his son is wise. My mother always tells me to be myself with anyone. That being someone else is not being true to myself or others.

I am one of those people that just cant stop talking nonsense at dinner time. Sometimes I even tell myself to stop blabbering whatever comes to my mind. My dad, just like Polonius, always tells me to think before I speak. One quote that will always remind me of my father at the table while eating our meals is...
"If you have nothing nice to say, don's say nothing at all."
    simple but very wise advise.

Friends are a very important aspect of everyones life. It would be very hard to go trhough life without at least one good friend. I took advice when I was younger from my oldest brother. He told me that it was ok to have many friends but that you should always beware of not having too many friends but no close ones. Because when you will need a friend o help you only close friends will take their time to be there for you.

Polonius was very wise when he chose his words of advise for his son. Close friends are always important and should remain close because you know they will help you out in any situation as you will do with them. My father told me this advice because its true, no other person is willing to get you out of a bad situation as a good close friend will do

In my opinion all advices that come from older people are wise. Polonius was wise on giving the advice of olny trusting his closeset friends only. The only advice that i can remeber from my mom is " When there is nothing nice to say, be quiet. There would always be another day to say something nice."

  10. I think that the advice Polonius gives to Laertes was a really good one and it does sound like a advise that my parents would give. They always tell me to think on what im going to say because if i dont really pay attention on what i say other people might take my comment as a mean one when that wasnt my porpuse. They also tell me not to say all that i think and that is more or less like the advise of polonious that i should listen more than i speak.

I think that Polonius gaved Laertes a great advice, and it sound pretty alike to an advice my parents gaved me. They told me to always think before i talk or act, i think this is a very important advice because it can help you in many ways. As an example when your mad you dont think what you say becuase you are too angry to think before you say something.
