What is Hamlet's attitude towards women? Think of his earlier criticism of Gertrude -- "Frailty thy name is woman" -- as well as the way he treats Ophelia in this scene.

He thinks they are backstabber's. The mom who married the uncle and Ophelia who is spying on him. He also thinks that they are weak because in the scene he turned aggressive toward Ophelia and she wouldn't do a thing to stop him. Also because women will do whatever if they are odered.

I think that because Hamlet is so heart broken over what his mother did after his fathers death, and discovering that Ophilia was spying on him, his whole image of woman has been shattered, so therefore i think that Hamlet's poor image of woman is expected to be this way...

I dont think its for every women. He was disappointed of his mother to get married so fast and he was worried Ophelia to turn like his mother because he still loved Ophelia. I think thats why he told Ophelia such things. He didn't want Ophelia to become like his mother.

I think that Hamlet attitudes toward woman has become violent, since all the events that happened with his mom such as: Marying his uncle only two months Hamlets father death. Also he thinks that woman cant be trusted and they are weak because Ophelia is betraying Hamlet by being used by the Uncle and Ophelia's dad. It was like a back stab from Ophelia. This events have modify Hamlets attitude toward woman into violent.

I think that Hamlet may have been nice towards women and have good thoughts about them. But during this short period of time, women have shown themselves as disloyal and weak. First because her mom and her girlfriend abandoned him and forgot about him and his dad in a real quick period of time. But also because they could not stay strong by themselves and did what they were told to do. This traumatized Hamlet and surely made him think bad things of women. Why wouldnt he think that? If everything they did to him was not staying by his side and forgetting him.

  6. Hamlet thinks that woen are weak and can be asily manipulated. On this act he drags Ophelia through the room and I dont think this is a proper way to trea a woman and he only does it because at this point he knows he is being spied on so he uses her to make his act of being crazy more realistic.

Hamlet thinks that women are weak. I think that his mother{s attitude made him think that. Gertrude got married because she thought she couldnt handle the kingdom by herself, but her weakness led her to marriage, she didnt even try to fight. Hamlet doesnt feel much respect toward women and think they can be easily manipulated, like the way he used Ophelia.

  8. Hamlet believe women are inferior and weak. I think that the decision that Gertrude made about getting married right away after she lost her husband made Hamlet feel and think this way. Hamlet acts as if he didnt respect women and as if he could control them easily

Hamlet attitud towards woman is confusing...
he is tender and sweet when he is himself, but agressive and humiliative when his acting out.
I think the real him is a nice person with woman, but in order to act out crazy he has to treat woman porley.
